Deactivation before 2nd month is not possible. But, after 1month it gets changed to daily charge and you can do it after 1day.

I think it can be deactivated on the day next month starts. And after the first month the charge is per day basis.

So, at least the next month has to be paid, is it? 175 for the succeeding month will be charged before we deactivate? Just wanted to have a trial, I have a Full HD TV and a HD box too.

No, after first month, you will be charged for 175/30=~6. Something like 6rupees a day. You can deactivate it after day1. Hope, I’m clear this time

Nope. Just pay 5 bucks for the first month (from today to nov 30). And cancel it on 1st december. No need to pay for next month if you dont want to.

so 6+5 it will be 11 for 1 month

Nope. Just pay 5 bucks for the first month (from today to nov 30). And cancel it on 1st december. No need to pay for next month if you dont want to.

Most channels are moving to hd and different premium programs running. Watching Devon ke dev Mahadev was a treat. Especially women love HD due to fantastic clarity on jewellery.

Worked fine for me.

Not sure if it was necessary, but I first went to mytatasky.com and dropped the hd access plan. 10 minutes later gave a missed call to the above mentioned number and it was re activated at 5 bucks for first month. Before today I was paying the HD fees on a day to day basis.

They come up with such offers quiye frequently. HBO channels (worth 99) were offered for 5 bucks last month. And a couple of months before too. English entertainment and movies packs also show up for 1-5 bucks every few months. These are just promotions. They benefit in the end. Quite a few people like the channels/service enough to continue paying for it after 1st month. A big majority simply forgets to cancel the subscription even if they didn’t like the channels. There’s only a few of us who actually take advantage of the offer. So no real generosity on Tata sky’s part here. Simple promotion is all it is.

Maybe customer specific offer, they are offering HD box plus one year HD access at Rs 1500 to me. Using SD box.

I am not sure about price change for existing users of HD access. But for new users, who want to test for 1 month, it is very good deal.

I think even for existing users, whenever price increased they will charge new price from the next billing cycle/month.
So I don’t think this offer is a trap from Tatasky. They usually come up with this kind of offers for their users.

It was already charging me 175 since last few weeks. Unless you paid for annual/bi annual for hd access fee, the prices were already increased for you.

I maybe wrong but those who activated HD in last six months might be paying the old charges though. Even they’ll be paying the increased rates once their 6 months from activation is over afaik.

Exactly. Currently who are already accessing hd. Don’t fall for this trap. You will be treated as a new customer and all your old customer previleges would go obsolete. All the latest charges would get applied
