bro, u can better answer on “quora”, btw my own experience i got good result with ON, but because of price i used MB for more than 1 year, result was not that good. May be if you will take 2-3 scoop a day of MB then u can get good result. There are many fitness freak guy on youtube suggesting DAVISCO/SAPUTO. As a trial i bought saputo 2kg pck, and this is better than MB.

Guys, first off, it’s not the protein powders that get you the results! Get this misunderstanding out of your head. Whey powder is a food supplement to provide the extra protein (amino acids) required to build muscles when you give your body the necessary stimulus by resistance training. It’s not an anabolic steroid!

As long as you consume a genuine, decent quality (i.e. the actual protein content per gram of the powder) whey powder, which MuscleBlaze certainly is, you should really be only concerned with (1) meeting or exceeding your daily protein requirement (look this up on Google), (2) putting enough work in the gym to force your body to make use of the additional protein for making muscle, not storing the extra calories as fat, and (3) getting proper quality and enough sleep as your body mostly makes muscles (to put it in layman terms) while you sleep.

I am short on time right now. But if you are interested in reading more of my posts on the subject, please look at this crude search results page: http://www.desidime.com/searches/protein-03d94c...

I have gone though all your post. Its really helpful. Thanks a lot. I just have 1 question. So a whey protein will provide only protein or any other nutrients? If it provide only protein then I must say all whey protein are good unless it is fake. So if I am buying a whey from HK then I should not be bothered about the brand as the main function of whey protein is to provide protein and all proteins are same whether I am get it from, chicken, egg, milk , lentils or any artificial source like powder.

I know the amount of protein per servings matters. MB whey provide 25 gm protein and ON provide 24 gm protein which is almost same so I can stick to MB then as it comes in my budget.

And if this is the fact then why some says MB is bad and I am not getting results, but with ON I am getting good results. Both provide almost Same amount of protein so both should work.

So please clarify this. What I have said is right or I have made mistake somewhere???

And as I told earlier that I started using whey from last month along with MB CREATINE but I have been working out from last 6-7 months. I did got the cuts but not any significant growth so I started taking whey.

So can I continue with MB whey or I should change and try ON or UN. Suggest me.

Thanks. KG BRO .

Blindly trust hk for whey. They are 100% genuine

No diff between mb and on whey. I have seen my friends use both. Diff is on is a bit more tastier, hence more expensive too. I v never used this but i did take on whey for around 2 weeks last year during the durga pujaz which is a big festival in kolkata.

Must say whey protein gives u all the things an average daily working out guy needs that maybe our daily meals don’t provide to us. While i took the whey for those2 weeks I could feel the diff. Its like i just did shoulders and biceps and took the whey. I could again do chest tricep after 30 mins.

Amazon sd mite sell it for cheaper but never buy from any other site apart from hk.

Also from what iv gathered from my gym partners etc etc, i have never seen any1 take creatine all 365 days of the year. They generally take it twice a year namely aug/sept for the better shred /cut/shape etc for the durga pujaz in sept end/oct and during march/april to fill out those v necks during summer.

Iv recently turned vegan so now whey is a must for me for my protein needs. And dis 2kg @3200 will give u 60 servings so 1600 per month if u take once a day. Should be apt and cnt get cheaper.

Maybe mb is less tastier than hk but hey! Its not the taste it’s the result u get. Results differ from person to person but i believe hard work is never ungrateful. Put in the efforts and ur transformation shall be amazing. Get great https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_biggrin.gif

Most whey supplements have only whey blends, artificial sugar, and preservatives. But some whey supplements do add vitamins and other bodybuilding supplements like Creatine and Glutamine. These specialty blends are often sold at higher prices. I strongly believe that “one size” does not fit all when it comes to bodybuilding and nutrition so buying these expensive blends is not advisable. Needless to say, taking the vitamins/minerals and supplements like Creatine separately allows for customization and is therefore better.

As for your last sentence about all food protein sources being the same, that’s not actually true. Animal protein sources (like whey which is derived from milk) do have a different ratio of amino acids and are somewhat better for bodybuilding requirements than vegan sources of protein like lentils. Moreover, read up on things like PDCAAS (link) and BV (link).

@RONZZZ wrote:

Actually, you missed an important piece of information there. It’s the protein content per gram of the powder which matters. This is why ON, which has 24g protein per 31g of powder = 77.42%, is better than MuscleBlaze, which has 25g protein per 33g of powder = 75.75%. Then there is the issue of the composition of the whey blend itself (read about BV as linked above), i.e. how much whey isolate vs whey concentrate is included in the whey blend. This impacts the absorption rate of the amino acids. I will stop here as I have already gone too technical. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif

Those people do not understand things that I mentioned above in this post and the one before it. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

You can surely try ON as it’s indeed a little better if your budget allows for it. But you could be doing many things wrong and simply changing the protein powder will not do you any good. As I mentioned in my previous post, you should be (1) meeting or exceeding your daily protein requirement (look this up on Google), (2) putting enough work in the gym to force your body to make use of the additional protein for making muscle, not storing the extra calories as fat, and (3) getting proper quality and enough sleep as your body mostly makes muscles (to put it in layman terms) while you sleep. Now you need to figure out for yourself where you are failing among these three most important criteria for bodybuilding.

Moreover, see the linked posts here: http://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/t...

Phew! That turned out to be a long discourse. I hope I’d be able to simply point people with questions about bodybuilding to this post in the future. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_biggrin.gif

Kudos for taking that decision, bro. https://cdn0.desidime.com/smileys/J5EiZ.gif But whey itself is derived from milk which means it’s not vegan. You might want to try vegetable protein blends (soy, pea protein, etc.) to stay true to that philosophy. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

FYI, supplement brands buy the real whey from companies like Amul and then add some additives and process them and sell you at much higher price. The Saputo and Davisco brands that are being mentioned here are dairy whey just like Amul. A friend works at Amul and he has access to that whey powder but it’s only in 20Kg bags.

Edit: I have used MB whey and Isolate both. I would recommend the Isolate if you can find it at good price. It’s not as good as a premium brand but if you are buying from PAytm you would get a good VFM. For Indian brands, I would recommend Tara Nutrition. It’s cheap and you can use an extra scoop if you wish to. Results are decent. But Saputo/Davisco is equally good if not better.

Check my PM. I stopped buying supplements from eBay/Paytm. The EAS 100% whey Vanilla I bought from PrabhjitSupplements was bitter in taste and didn’t had any effect. 100% fake.

The thing about ebay/Paytm is that you can’t confront the seller after buying, if you find out it’s fake. It’s money down the drain. For saving a thousand you are risking with your life and ofcourse the money. Long back I got Universal Nutrition Shock Therapy from Paytm for very good price, Rs.600 each. Threw them in dustbin when I tasted it. Both EAS and UN Shock therapy were around 4K, worth garbage.

@DealSeeker thanks a ton bro. i must say you have a lot of knowledge about supplements, and all the things related to bodybuilding. And also the way you address the questions and giving the answers in a systematic manner is awesome. I came to know a lot of things and i am sure this will help others too.

Next time i will try ON and see if i get any in difference in result

.And yes, i know the fact the only consuming whey will not give any result. actually the thing is i am not getting the required amount of protien im my daily diet and thats the main reason that i am not getting good result . I am looking onto this and trying too meet the daily protien requirement and also carb and fat to meet the daily calorie requirement. But its very difficult to maintain a proper and same diet everyday but still i am trying.

And i didn’t knew that "protien per gram " and the the absorbtion rate of the combination of whey isolate and concentrate thing. so you mean to say that if the percentage of whey isolate is more then , the absorbtion will me more. right?? then i can go with mb whey isolate??

thanks once again bro. you are really helpful and now i know why you are dimer of the year;-} https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif

mainly use three supplement for muscle building whey, casein and creatine
