Damn! Samsung washing machine i was eyeing has gone OOS.
Guys, Does anyone know how good Haier washing machine is? I need to gift one to a relative. Would prefer a brand that is reliable and has decent service.

Samsung will be good bro…as it has many service stations, Haier has less as compare.
So,go for Samsung only,and many deals used to come on Washing Machines, else wait at least Flipkart,Snapdeal,Amazon upcoming sales.

Even I am eyeing for a LED TV (not yet decided on size could be 40), washing machine and oven

Deals from paytm are tempting.. but I am waiting to see what Flipkart, amazon and Snap deal has to offer in next few days. Fingers crossed.

Though on a side note, many of my friends have asked me to avoid purchase of heavy appliances online and rather head to chroma or anyother offline store. I am in a dilemma to choose online or offline store.

Given a choice, i would pick heavy home appliance from a store if prices are competitive. In most cases, Chroma and other local stores will be surely be 20-25% more expensive than the likes of paytm. Last year i walked in 2 big showrooms to buy a refrigerator. Sales guy was selling the fridge at Mrp and still claiming that he was given discounts. Whirpool model i was looking for was around 24k in both the stores. Eventually ended up buying the item from Flipkart during BBD sale for 11.5k.

Online prices tend to be much more competitive and moreover you don’t have to go through drama of negotiating on CC charges and delivery charges etc. Most local stores charge 2% extra for CC payment.

Beware : Paytm has special T&C on Large Orders, Like
1) Cancellation not possible after ordering
2) Changing address not possible.
