Google Chromecast HDMI Media Streaming Device  (Black)

Initially I thought this product was total waste but later after I invested some time in it I realized it is most inexpensive product in its category.

Things to ensure
1) Use by USB adapter and not by putting usb in TV's usb port. Most TVs' usb port are programmed to give ~0.5 Ampere output , which is not much. USb adapter plugged to power will give better performance.

Chromecast is basically for online streaming. so even if you want to play videos or music stored in your laptop or mobile Chromecast needs to be connected to Internet.
one more thing to keep in mind that if you are using WIFI RANGE EXTENDERS Chomecast will not work. You need to keep Chromecast within the main Router's range.

I bought it to stream youtube to my TV. Does a good job even at a snailspeed internet of 512kbps. You can also cast your chrome browser to be mirrored onto your TV.

This does not make ur TV smart or anything. You can only use it to play videos from Youtube. For playing other videos (only mp4) you have to use a VLC plugin inside chrome. most videos on internet are FLV which are not supported through the extension.

I purchased this product from flipkart few days back. And, I am very happy with this product and its utility.
